St. Philip Suite
The Most Luxurious Historic Hotel Suite in Charleston SC
Poised to be one Charleston's best-kept secrets, the new St. Philip Suite is situated on the top floor of the hotel and designed to feel like a private 1,460-square-foot pied-a-terre in the heart of the Historic District.
The crowning glory of Planters Inn's recent renovation and expansion, this grand apartment boasts the elegant yet comfortable details of a private Historic Charleston residence. Hardwood floors, soaring ceiling height, exposed hand-pointed brick, Baker Historic Charleston Collection furnishings, Jonathan Green artwork, arched doorways, and custom lighting invite guests to experience refined Southern style.
- a generously sized living room filled with beautiful natural light
- a dining area and custom table with seating for ten guests
- a spacious bedroom with two oversized closets
- a designer bathroom with two vanities
- a reading & television room
- a full kitchen
Designed for guests who prefer the added privacy of a separate entrance, the St. Philip Suite is exclusively accessed via the picturesque piazzas overlooking Planters Inn’s tranquil courtyard. Upon entering the suite, a reading room furnished with comfortable chairs, a flat screen television–the first of three found in the suite, and a bar complete with mini refrigerator beckons relaxation.
A beautiful four-poster king bed from the Baker Historic Charleston Collection, Italian linens, and soothing, neutral tones create a sanctuary of calm in the bedroom. The perfect night of sleep is only a push of the button away thanks to this suite’s remote controlled retractable curtains that, when closed, block daylight from the bedroom. The spacious bathroom features double vanities with quartz countertops, illuminated mirrors, and a walk-in shower.
South-facing windows bathe the expansive living area in natural light and highlight a custom mural by noted artist David Boatwright. Views of the city skyline include St. Philip’s Steeple, one of Charleston's most photographed historic landmarks. A plush sofa and the suite’s third flat screen television make the living area a comfortable place to unwind at day’s end. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a custom-made table with seating for ten people.
Be among the first guests to experience true Charleston style at the new St. Philip Suite.
